DJ POINTs, introduced in beatmania IIDX 10th style, is a point ranking system based on the level of clear the user achieved on the song. It is collated at the end of each game session.

Calculation in 10th style AC

The calculation for DJ POINTs in the arcade release of beatmania IIDX 10th style is drastically different compared to more recent styles. It is based solely on your DJ LEVEL and clear lamp. The calculation is based on two variables:

djpoints = gradepoints + clearpoints

where gradepoints depend on your rank:

AAA = 7
AA = 6
A = 5
B = 4
C = 3
D = 2
E = 1
F = 0

and clearpoints depend on your clear state:

Full Combo = 3
Clear = 2
Easy Clear = 1
Failed = 0
No Play = 0

Calculation in the newer games

DJ POINTs for the newer styles are calculated on a per chart basis and based on the following formula:

DJ POINT = EX SCORE × (100+[C]+[L]) ÷ 10000

where [L] depends on your rank:

AAA = 20
AA = 15
A = 10
B and below = 0

and [C] depends on your clear lamp:

FULL COMBO = 30
EX HARD CLEAR = 25
HARD CLEAR = 20
CLEAR = 10
EASY CLEAR = 5
ASSIST CLEAR and below = 0

In the event that more than one difficulty of a song is played, only the chart that has the most DJ POINTs to it is counted in the overall total.

Example

An EX SCORE of 1755 along with a HARD CLEAR and AA will net you the following:

1755 × (100+20+15) ÷ 10000 = 1755 × 135 ÷ 10000 = 23.6925

Other Information

  • Single and Doubles DJ POINTs are calculated separately.
