The fact that this isn't under an alias makes me wonder if oto was originally going to be the only level 50 of the game and was planned before the BEMANI Sound Team thing. Despite the sound obviously featuring wac, there is no BEMANI Sound Team listing for him for the song.

It makes me wonder if he hasn't already left KONAMI and that this was his final farewell song of sorts for the pop'n music series. It also makes me wonder if UsaNeko was supposed to end much earlier than it did, and that pop'n 25 was probably planned or even about to begin until the BEMANI Sound Team debacle put a grinding halt to it all. (Further reason why I think so? Only ONE new character was made for UsaNeko after the BST thing. And nearly every song added in 2018 was from either from another BEMANI game, a cross-game event, or was a license. Only 10 originals came out in 2018 for this game.)

Or I could be over-analyzing this a bit too much.

The fact that this isn't under an alias makes me wonder if oto was originally going to be the only level 50 of the game and was planned before the BEMANI Sound Team thing. Despite obviously featuring wac, there is no BEMANI Sound Team listing for him for the song. It makes me wonder if he hasn't already left KONAMI and that this was his final farewell song of sorts for the pop'n music series. (Doesn't help the game that there is no proper ending animation for No NAME Colors, and they just recycled sprites once again.)

It also makes me wonder if UsaNeko was supposed to end much earlier than it did, and that pop'n 25 was probably planned or even about to begin production until the BEMANI Sound Team debacle put a grinding halt to it all. (Further reason why I think so? Only ONE new character was made for UsaNeko after the BST thing. And nearly every song added in 2018 was from either from another BEMANI game, a cross-game event, or was a license. Only 10 originals came out in 2018 for UsaNeko.)

Or I could be over-analyzing this a bit too much.
