Youhei has worked with the BEMANI franchise since nearly the very beginning, starting off on the [[PnM AC 1|first pop'n music]] game, where he composed a song and was also credited as the sound tool programmer. He worked on the series until [[PnM AC 5|pop'n music 5]], and later he moved to work on the ''beatmania'' series of games.

Youhei was also the sound director of the BEMANI games ''ParaParaParadise'' and ''beatmania III''. Currently it is unknown if he still works for Konami; his last appearance was doing part of the song comments of [[Quick Master -Naked Trance Mix-]] on the [[PnM AC 16|pop'n music 16 PARTY♪]] homepage.

Unlike most staff members at the company, Youhei seldom stuck to one BEMANI series as a staff member: he was a sound programmer for [[AC bm 3rd|beatmania 3rdMIX]] and [[AC bm complete|beatmania completeMIX]], then he worked on [[AC 1st style|beatmania IIDX]], [[AC substream|substream]], and [[AC pnm 4|pop'n music 4]] in the same position, before becoming co-sound director of [[AC bm III|beatmania III]] and finally the sound director of [[AC PPP|ParaParaParadise]].
 
Youhei left KONAMI in 2001 and joined Polyphony Digital. His last appearance to date in BEMANI was doing new song comments for [[mnemoniq]] on the [[AC tricoro|beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro]] homepage.
