The Result Star system introduced in DanceDanceRevolution X3 vs 2ndMIX was carried over.  To access the EXTRA STAGE, you need to get 9 stars. Every time the player clears a song, they will get a certain amount of stars for a maximum of 3 stars per stage.

This was fixed on the October 8th, 2013 update.
