Geila Zilkha is a jazz singer born in Kobe from an Israeli father and a Japanese mother. Her parents gave her the name Gila which means "joy" in Hebrew from the Israeli folk song ''Hava Nagila'' (הבה נגילה) by Harry Belafonte.
