On April 9th, 2015, the first difficulty downgrade was introduced, lowering all difficulty requirements by 1 level. Thus orbs for the first six Replicant D-ignition songs can be obtained by getting an AA rank or higher on DIFFICULT as well as EXPERT, and the orb for MAX.(period) on EXTRA STAGE can be obtained on EXPERT as well as CHALLENGE. ENCORE EXTRA STAGE difficulties are correspondingly lowered one level, so obtaining EGOISM 440's orb on DIFFICULT will proceed to MAX.(period) on DIFFICULT, and obtaining MAX.(period)'s orb on EXPERT will proceed to Over The "Period" on BASIC. ''(Due to a bug, if two players were on Versus Play with Player 1 on non-Premium Play and Player 2 on Premium Play, it was possible for Player 1 to obtain an orb for MAX.(period) on BASIC or DIFFICULT and proceed to Over The "Period" on BEGINNER. This was fixed on April 14th, 2015.)''

On May 1st, 2015, the second difficulty downgrade was introduced. Orbs for the first six songs can now be obtained on BASIC, and MAX.(period)'s orb can be obtained on DIFFICULT leading to Over The “Period” on BEGINNER. However, on Double Play, where BEGINNER is not available, Over The “Period” will be played on BASIC instead.

From July 2nd, 2015 onwards, orbs for the first six songs can now be obtained on BEGINNER. Max.(period)'s orb can be obtained on BASIC, leading to Over The "Period" on BEGINNER (or BASIC on Double Play). In addition, when Over The “Period” is cleared as the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE, the standard Thank You For Playing screen becomes a picture of RINON walking into a white light with the words "Replicant D-ignition" and "THANK YOU FOR PLAYING" displayed. Should the player re-enter Replicant D-ignition after clearing Over The “Period”, the orbs go back to their 1st Phase brighter color.

From July 23rd, 2015 to August 6th, 2015, for players who had not unlocked all of the first five Replicant D-ignition boss songs yet, the amount of NITRO obtained is doubled.

On August 6th, 2015, the Replicant D-ignition event effectively ended, and the Replicant D-ignition folder is no longer accessible; instead, any songs with filled NITRO vials appear in the ''EXTRA ATTACK'' folder. Neither RINON nor "The Dark One" are unlockable for those who did not unlock them during the event. At first, only the BEGINNER and BASIC charts of the five NITRO-vial songs are accessible. To access more charts in EXTRA STAGE, all prerequisites for that chart must be unlocked for normal play via ''EXTRA ATTACK''. For the five NITRO-vial songs, the only prerequisite for a chart is its lower difficulty (so for example, unlocking HAPPY☆LUCKY☆YEAPPY's BASIC chart for normal play makes its DIFFICULT chart accessible on EXTRA STAGE, and so on for EXPERT).

:Unlocking all five BASIC charts gives access to EGOISM 440's BEGINNER and BASIC charts, making this the first time it is playable every credit instead of once per six credits. EGOISM 440's DIFFICULT and EXPERT charts have two prerequisites: its lower difficulty, ''and'' all five charts of the same difficulty for the previous five songs. (For example, to access EGOISM 440's EXPERT chart, the player must unlock EGOISM 440's DIFFICULT chart as well as all five EXPERT charts for the five NITRO-vial songs.)

:Unlocking EGOISM 440's BASIC chart gives access to MAX.(period)'s BEGINNER and BASIC charts. Again, MAX.(period)'s DIFFICULT and EXPERT charts have two prerequisites: its lower difficulty, and EGOISM 440's chart of the same difficulty. Similarly, unlocking MAX.(period)'s BASIC chart gives access to Over The "Period"'s BEGINNER and BASIC charts, and Over The "Period"'s DIFFICULT and new EXPERT charts have two prerequisites: its lower difficulty, and the same difficulty under MAX.(period).

:Finally, unlocking Over The "Period"'s EXPERT chart gives access to MAX.(period)'s CHALLENGE chart, which when unlocked gives access to EGOISM 440's new CHALLENGE chart.

On December 24th, 2015, the above charts have been unlocked for normal play for all players. Both RINON and "The Dark One" have been automatically unlocked for all players as well. Over The "Period"'s new CHALLENGE chart is accessible on EXTRA STAGE only (and could not be unlocked for normal play until the release of [[AC DDR A|DanceDanceRevolution A]]).
