Assist modifiers can not be used. Doing the same with the special EXTRA STAGE song will then trigger the ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE, locked to ANOTHER difficulty.

| As with previous releases, beat phases are entered in the operator menu, by selecting "GAME OPTION" and holding Effect while entering a button sequence. Codes must be entered in order (you can't enter beat#3 unless you've entered beat#2). Beat phases can also be changed by updating the game to a newer revision. Different game binary revisions have different beat phases enabled. Note that beat phases can not be reversed except by clearing the machine settings, or by reverting the game to an older binary.
