Youhei has worked with the BEMANI franchise since nearly the very beginning, starting off as the sound tool programmer on the first pop'n music. Unlike most staff members at the company, Youhei seldom stuck to one BEMANI series as a staff member: he was a sound programmer for beatmania 3rdMIX and beatmania completeMIX, then he worked on beatmania IIDX, substream, and pop'n music 4 in the same position, before becoming co-sound director of beatmania III and finally the sound director of ParaParaParadise.

Youhei left KONAMI in 2001 and joined Polyphony Digital. His last appearance to date in BEMANI was doing new song comments for mnemoniq on the beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro homepage.
