I'm DJ TAKAWO.
I was honestly worried when I asked about the planning this time around. The phrases "roasted sweet potatoes" and "exchanging for tissue paper" are themselves treated as gags, after all. But I like to make people smile! It isn't that I just want to see people smile. Rather, I think that being able to smile is the first step to leading a happy life. How to interpret things is an individual's freedom, though!

I themed Kingyo around the love of family. There are different patterns for making people smile, and among them I aimed to make DJ music that would make anyone grin. The key phrase for this song is "Japanese summer" of course, and I visualized the summers of Showa 46 to 47 (1971 to 1972) when creating it. I don't remember them too well, but they were peaceful times... I think.

In this era, though, there are a lot of strange events, and it seems to me like the world is going completely insane. I have a daughter who is about to turn two years old, and just thinking about her getting caught up in bullying or strange events makes me shudder. That is why I created this song with the hope that peace comes to this world.
