After each credit, Pastel will collect 10 material parts of the instrument, with two more awarded for matchmaking. For each time a song is matched, there's a chance a Pastel might appear next to the facility during the map selection screen. Multiple matches increase the chances for it to appear and the appearance for which location is chosen at random. | |||
These material parts will then be converted into a gauge to fill, with a certain set of material parts that will fill one gauge. All the material parts will be consumed during filling, but by choosing the correct material type for the instrument, the gauge will boost. By filling the gauge completely, the player will unlock songs. At first, Journey could only be selected on its first credit as part of the tutorial, but additional songs are available upon the second credit and on added phases, and if they have unlocked all the songs for a particular phase, a final song will be available for unlock. | |||
