Daruma-san ga koronda: Difference between revisions

* だるまさんがころんだ's lyrics refer to Daruma-san ga koronda, a Japanese variation of the children's game Red Light, Green Light. In this variation, the person who's it closes their eyes and says the sentence "Daruma-san ga koronda" with their eyes closed and back turned while players move closer to them. When they finish their sentence, they quickly tuen around; anyone caught moving must join hands with them. The game ends when either everyone is caught or they manage to touch the hand-holding between the captured player and the one who is it, upon which everyone except the one it runs away. Then the person who is it shouts "tomare", and all players should stop moving. If the one it manages to touch someone without three steps, they become the new one it.
