The reason we collaborated with Tim is simple. | |||
Our way of performing relentlessly with sounds sometimes offends performing musicians afterwards. Musicians play sounds with their own meaning, and we didn't want to change this. Tim is very flexible in that regard, as his interests in new music and sounds never fades. Thanks to him, we were able to try a new method of using Tim's recordings at the beginning of the project. | |||
While feeling full from the necessity of coffee in the studio (with free refill), we confirmed each other's intentions and decided on handclaps and tempo. | |||
Tim showed us the phrases he came up with in succession. I guess that the rhythms from his phrases were grouped together in a suitable loop, and recording commenced.<br> | |||
