Gyo Eguchi, along with [[Goli Matsumoto]], [[Yoshiaki Heshiki]], and [[Nagisa Nakamoto]], is part of the beatmania IIDX design team. Gyo is to beatmania IIDX video production what [[Takayuki Ishikawa]] was to IIDX composition: the real workhorse figure. Not only has he been involved since the beginning, but he is also responsible for many of the early generic videos, as well as some of IIDX's signature characters, such as [[TRAN]], [[Acty Aries]], [[Tora Yamato]], and the SPEEDY CATs racing team of [[Mika]], [[Yuri]], and [[Akane]]. Most of his animated videos exclusively feature female characters in them. Prior to beatmania IIDX, Gyo worked as a movie designer in the original beatmania series.
Gyo has also occasionally lend his drawing skills to pop'n music, creating several assorted characters for the series. He also worked on the design team of the arcade DanceDanceRevolution games.
