When you were a kid, you'd stare at the power lines on a rainy day and think, "There are voices going back and forth through those things!" It kind of reminds me of that sort of thinking. Smiles.

But if those communications were all of a sudden cut off, it would be kind of unnerving ... What's being sung is kind of like my secret, personal message of the near future.

As the years go by, haven't we started to think more that lots of things that happen aren't unusual or unexpected? It's made us able to resist even the greatest shocks and catastrophes, but don't you think it's also dulled our senses a bit? The uncanny nature of this song is like a dream. One day, only while I was listening to this song, I was able to regain the feeling of living in that world "that time" long ago.
