References to previous KAC contest winning songs?

I saw, briefly after it came out, a lot of random comments about Xronièr referencing several bits of other SDVX songs - specifically all previous KAC Highest Excellence award winners. A few I've seen in common were the following:

  • Using the "ARE YOU READY" sample from Max Burning!!.
  • The usage of the "It's behind you" sample from iLLness LiLin.
  • The melody of HE4VEN is heard very faintly in Xronièr's first verse.
  • Everlasting Message's brief break after its first main verse is used in Xronièr before the first rhythmic mess.
  • Lachryma's piano, specifically the chordy sections from that song, are used for the background melody of Xronièr's rhythmic mess sections.
  • Though they're completely different, apparently Xronièr's usage of morse code is a reference to I.
  • For UltraPlayers and Bangin' Burst are referenced at the same at the end of the drop where Maxima and co. appear. While they are just as subtle in-game, it's much clearer in the long version; For UltraPlayers' melody gets played on top of no other instruments, followed by Bangin' Burst in the same manner, before resuming where the game version references both.

Not sure if they're good to be put in Song Connections / Remixes since some are way too subtle (especially Lachryma and I). Also these points are just here to illustrate what's being heard; don't know if these (with a little rewording) are worth all putting in, or if they should just be mentioned concisely (i.e. Xronièr briefly references <song name> and so on). - o.O 18:13, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

  • Some of them are indeed too subtle (i.e. personally I can't hear For UltraPlayers and Bangin' Burst in Xronièr's game version). I think mentioning the ones that are more evident in Song Connections / Remixes is totally fine. --FinalOffset (talk) 21:20, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
