• Part of Macho Gang's video was changed around the time beatmania IIDX 3rd style came out. A drawing of a man saluting to his superior was replaced with a woman checking on a boiling pot. (The same woman also appeared in several other 3rd style videos, most notably THE SAFARI and Beat Machine.)
• At the time of its debut, Macho Gang held the record for the highest number of notes for a beatmania IIDX chart on both Single and Double, with 837 and 846 notes respectively, the latter the highest notecount at the time for any beatmania IIDX chart.
  • While Macho Gang's Double record was beaten just one game later with S.O.S.'s 911 notes on 14KEY, its Single chart held the record until beatmania IIDX 3rd style, where it was beaten by (funny enough) S.O.S. remix S.O.S. (THE TIGER TOOK MY FAMILY)'s 954 notes on 7KEY.
