• Macho Gang and gentle stress both mark Keiichi Ueno's first original compositions in the DanceDanceRevolution series.
• Part of Macho Gang's video was changed around the time beatmania IIDX 3rd style came out. A drawing of a man saluting to his superior was replaced with Mari-chan checking on a boiling pot. (Mari-chan also appeared in several other 3rd style videos, most notably THE SAFARI and Beat Machine.)
• At the time of its debut, Macho Gang held the record for the highest number of notes for a beatmania IIDX chart on both Single and Double, with 837 and 846 notes respectively, the latter the highest notecount at the time for any beatmania IIDX chart.
