- Name: Youichi Iwata (岩田陽一)
Profile
An early contributor to BEMANI, Youichi Iwata was a member of the KONAMI Kukeiha Club, a name for KONAMI's sound staff in the 1980s and 90s. His best known work outside of BEMANI was for KONAMI's 1997 Game Boy game Akumajō Dracula: Shikkoku Taru Zensōkyoku (悪魔城ドラキュラ 漆黒たる前奏曲), released in North America as Castlevania Legends. He was a guitarist on the original pop'n music, and then a year later served as one of the sound directors of the first KEYBOARDMANIA.
