Dear God

i'm currently compiling a list of all known gacha unlockables in this; i'm absolutely stunned by the sheer amount of oldschool license revivals. --tikal. (talk) 15:18, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

Question

• Hey tikal., do songs appear in multiple sorting groups or do they specifically stay inside just one? - QueenZ (talk) 05:39, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
  • They can appear in more than one (e.g. i have seen Sora mo toberu hazu inside the "90s J-POP" and "Graduation Songs" folder), though i'm organizing them in groups under this criteria:
    - New master licenses sorted by artist/label (BABYMETAL, BIG TREE RECORD)
    - Most licensed covers sorted by genre (J-pop, anime, nostalgic anime)
    Note that the sorting is still a WIP, which explains why some songs are in "to sort"; they still need to be added to their respective sections/have new sections created for them

  • APPEND: Ah, there's also the game folders (e.g. jubeat, jubeat Qubell), which should have each game's licensed covers, though i only want to sort Konami originals there
    However, sorting only songs new to jubeat in the artist/genre folders isn't a bad idea too

  • I see, thanks for answering. I figured if that songs were sorted into a main group, it would be easier to sort them on the wiki.
    Yeah, the sorting only the new songs would be ideal. The plus mode page (currently in the works/brainstorming) would fill in for the past songs from jubeat plus. (The returning songs listed right now on the main page are there since they're the default songs when starting up.) - QueenZ (talk) 19:27, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
• Update: I took a look around in jubeat (2021) and noticed while viewing the song list in list display, that there was a simpler category sorting: Pops, Anime, Game, Classic, Social, Touhou, and Original.
  (Game, Classic, and Original wont be used, for now.)

  • That's actually much better, yes!
    On a note, i back up the thing about the jubeat game folders; licenses don't seem to appear there (yet it doesn't nullify the thing of some songs appearing in more than one folder, as it is for GET WILD being in the 80s J-POP and Nostalgic Anison folders, as well as Sora mo toberu hazu (and a couple more songs) also being listed in Graduation Songs (because only Tabidachi no hi ni is exclusive to this folder as far as i am aware, i only listed that song there))

  • Oh, another thing i forgot to mention: You don't need to insert the Standard J-POP category; all songs in there are repeats

    • Yeah I only included it (Standard Jpop) since its one of the sorting groups in-game, and we don't know at the moment if KONAMI plans on adding more songs to that category or the others that will go unused on the wiki right now.
