Togo

Cuba, as well as countries like Brazil in South America, are a treasure trove of music. From mambo, rumba, salsa, bossa nova, and reggae, to son, merengue, calypso, and so on, they have a wide variety of musical and rhythmic styles. Within peoples' lives and histories, dance music is closely tied to them. And as someone who loves southern countries, I long to be there.

As such, I created a pop song that incorporates Brazilian samba and carnival rhythms, which are popular in Japan as well. Continuing from HUNTING FOR YOU from GOTTAMIX, the project consists of Scotty D., who wrote the lyrics, Megu on vocals, and myself (Togo), who wrote the song. Our old friend YOKAN did the arrangement and joined us on the saxophone, and it turned out to be an incredibly fun session. We all went wild during the latter half of the long version (on track 23)!
