Template:DDR Chart Info vs. DDR Chart
More i-appli BEMANI games
Hi there!
It turns out there's more i-appli BEMANi games than just DDR as seen in these pages. However, I don't know how to properly add a new page and I would like these to be added for me if possible. Sorry about that but yeah lol

thank u however if u do add them!!! --booty (talk) 02:32, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
I've noticed some pages using a DDR Chart Info table and some pages using a DDR Chart Header + DDR Chart. Is the first one deprecated? The tables look vastly similar, and I've only realized the differences when going into the sources.
* jubeat is already here, as mobile and mobile2. For the other series, I'll add stubs for them right now. Thanks! --FinalOffset (talk) 04:22, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for reading. :)

--Megumin (talk) 16:36, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

* Yes, the Chart Info table is indeed deprecated. Chart Header + Chart allows to create an infinite number of rows, it is smaller in size, and allows to make some variations of the table itself (though this is more relevant for other series, i.e. allowing IIDX songs to display Black ANOTHER charts or pop'n music to show 7-Button charts). --FinalOffset (talk) 17:40, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
The Twin Guitar charts in the early GFDM games
How should they be handled? Specially considering the secret notes in GF1 and GF2(which there's very few info from what i know)<br>--TikalFan9000 (talk) 02:20, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
* I've thought about them in the past. I'm going to make modifications in some templates so I'll see how to integrate them. --FinalOffset (talk) 21:07, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
** In case you did not notice, i added a proof of concept "template" for the GFDM songs prior to GF5dm4 in my user page. Considering the difficulty unification that happened in those games, would it be better to use that rendition or to alter the already existing chart template? <br>--TikalFan9000 (talk) 02:14, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
** As I said, I'm planning to modify the actual template in order to make room for older GF/DM games, as I'm not a fan of putting another table into each page. I'll see what I can do. --FinalOffset (talk) 05:51, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

About iTunes/Long version information
Gallery Page Clean-up Concept
a while back i shared a concept for cleaning up gallery pages to mod t7r<br>
the proposal is to basically shorten the description of the entries in order to remove some redundancy

Is adding referral to iTunes or Long version connection is not significant to put into *Song Connections* section? If so I will stop doing this.<br>
the guidelines i have in mind are as follows<br>
(refer to this edit: https://remywiki.com/index.php?title=Radical_shoujo&curid=28876&diff=298524&oldid=298515)
- putting them in chronological order would be a rather good idea<br>
- if a song has only one jacket/banner/etc in a series, one can put the name of the series as a whole in the description. if not, the game in which the graphic first appeared must be specified (EXCEPTION: the song and an alternate version for it debutting in the same game, and having no different variations afterwards, in which the game doesn't need to be specified)<br>
<gallery class="center">

RB FLOWER.png|REFLEC BEAT / ミライダガッキ

FLOWER CHUNITHM.png|CHUNITHM
FLOWER BS.png|BeatStream
FLOWER MSC.png|MÚSECA
FLOWER CHUNITHM new.png|CHUNITHM STAR
</gallery>

Or is it just duplicated information on "Album" section itself?
- for difficulty variants, the name of the difficulty could be put in paranthesis after the game/series name

But to argue on this, I'm sure some people might want to know if there is long version of their favorite song or not.

- for alternate graphics (e.g. upper charts, dancerush's different "versions", tsuminagara's "midnight" jacket in reflec), the parenthesis is only needed in the alternate version, like these

* The Wiki does not list long/full versions for licensed songs, that's why there's an Album field on the Song Information section for them. --FinalOffset (talk) 16:26, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

DDR Extreme locked songs
what do you think? hopefully i explained it somewhat clear<br>--tikal. (talk) 20:12, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
* I kinda like some of the changes, but it would be a big effort to change everything that I don't see it being a priority right now. --GlaringRadiokid (talk) 20:12, 21 November 2021 (UTC)

Hi FinalOffset. I added the locked song count on DDR Extreme based on the fact that MAX2 has a Challenge-only song count. What would be the best way to present this information? Many places have Extreme, but because they lack the unlock code, that leaves six songs available only in special modes (ES, OMES or Challenge) and another 10 songs that can never be played. --LABcrab (talk) 18:35, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the help.
* Pointing it on the Unlock Information section would be nice. I eventually have to clean the EXTREME page as it lumps every single song (including hidden) on a single table. --FinalOffset (talk) 21:18, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

I've been experimenting with a few tables design for the EXTRA RUSH section. Which one is the best ?<br>
Regarding the revert on Monkey Dance
, , / or
or maybe you have a better idea :)

I would like to settle on one design and use it on all the pages since it's a recurrent game mechanic in the series.<br>
Hi, was wondering regarding the rationale regarding the revert on the change I made on Monkey Dance. Given that the longer versions of Monkey Dance '09 are directly related to Monkey Dance as direct remixes of it similar to Butterfly or ABSOLUTE's song connection sections. Would it be better in Longer Version -> Short Version format instead?<br>
--Miik (talk) 20:35, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
Example:<br>
* Long version
** Short playable version
** Alternative version
-Movesp (talk) 19:19, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
* It's something that has been done for years here. We want to avoid cluttering pages with redundant information. Since Monkey Dance '09 has its own page, their long versions and other related songs should be only in that page, not in the original Monkey Dance's. --GlaringRadiokid (talk) 19:49, 9 September 2022 (UTC)

About 6 Song's of Continuing the Seniors! The Second Vocalist Contest
hello! i have a question regarding video production info translations; how would ones featuring commentary on images (in the same page as all of the other music comments) be done and formatted??<br>
specifically, i'm looking into translating jet coaster girl's designer comments, i'm not aware of any other designer comments on other songs that are presented in a similar way (this is excluding ones like taratta dance's, where there are images of the characters to go along with their bios, but aren't needed to understand them), but regardless i'd prefer to know your stance on how it should be handled before going ahead with it.<br>
in this specific case, should the concept art and the commentary on it be omitted entirely (which i'd personally prefer to not do), or should it be included, and if so, how should it be formatted and such? thanks in advance!<br>

Hi, I found something interesting in SDVX4's file data. Maybe you can add this composers to the songs' page or restore my edit.<br>

Who to talk to for wiki disputes
Hey man.

Hi. I left a message on Talk:AC DDR USA, but it was deleted. There was no ill intent on my part, and I don't even support the band (Skillet) that I mentioned. I just found them playing dance games in a video, and thought it would be relevant, yet my comment was deleted and no explanation was given. Could you please get better policies, like Wikipedia policies, when it comes to solving disputes? I don't edit much on here, because I don't want all my work deleted "just because." Thank you for your time. --LABcrab (talk) 23:04, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
About Hiroshi Takeyasu.
* I see no deleted pages regarding Talk:AC DDR USA, and your last edit on the DDR USA page has never been reverted, so I don't really know what you're referring to, I'm sorry.
I'm pretty surprised that there is only one picture of him.
: Regarding editing policies, usually a reason is given when an edit is completly reverted (i.e. false info, redundant info, pointless trivia, etc.) There are few disputes here, and usually can be solved by taking them to a Talk page. --FinalOffset (talk) 04:20, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I am doing some research into song jacket artists on SDVX. It looks like you placed Aoi Tagami's aliases on her page. My question is how did you know her aliases? I would like to ultimately discover every artist for every song jacket in SDVX... is there some form of credits or something?
You mean Facebook? Marsoff (talk) 02:16, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
* Hi, most of her aliases are plays/puns on her name (Aoi, which means "blue"), or are variations of aonisai, the main alias that she used in pop'n music. --FinalOffset (talk) 03:20, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

"CS DDRMAX US" vs. "CS DDRMAX NA" (and maybe "CS DDRMAX CA")
I think that photo was taken back in 2013 Marsoff (talk) 02:17, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

How come the wiki marks games with "US" when available throughout North America, aka. in Canada and Mexico with French and Spanish marketing materials? I don't know to what extent this wiki does redirects, but I think it would be fair to at least redirect. "CS DDRMAX NA" to "CS DDRMAX US". --LABcrab (talk) 20:25, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
But anyway, I'm kinda surprised that by searching him the internet only has one photo of him. But any other photo doesn't need to be published here for sure. Marsoff (talk) 02:18, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
* NA might be more appropiate. This question should be in another Talk page though (i.e. DanceDanceRevolution Information), not mine's. --FinalOffset (talk) 02:57, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
* Yes, Facebook. It's more recent than the photo that we have here (which is from an early pop'n live event, can't remember which one). --GlaringRadiokid (talk) 02:34, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

Eh, is it really necessary to edit the templates for the songs that don't have LEGGENDARIA charts? This wasn't done for black Anothers. --Thunderbird (talk) 02:51, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
I'd like to ask you something.
* Unlike Black ANOTHERs, LEGGENDARIA charts are now considered a core fifth difficulty. For consistency with the inclusion of BEGINNER in the template (which is present regardless if the song actually has one) and with the SOUND VOLTEX templates, yeah, it should be part of the main template. --FinalOffset (talk) 02:55, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
As far as I know, it was you who provided the info about Lala Moore being German, can I ask you how do you know that? I'm curious, because there's almost no info about her!

I've never played any of these games, but I played a videogame named Bust-A-Groove for MANY years. Some of the artists "re-recorded" the songs into English and they remained unknown for many years until now. I was able to find almost all of them and, despite not having a "confirmation" about Lala Moore, I know she sang two song of the game because she sounds like her.
Thanks for all that you have done!
Could you take a look? These are the songs from the game.

Thank you so much for formatting, correcting and organizing places in my edits where I missed while double-checking myself when editing these pages! You're a huge help! With what tools were you able to extract the portraits from? Snooping around some more and it seems like that Party has some more unused content I'd like to check out for myself, as well as the Pop'n games around that era having some knickknacks I would want to see (such as icons, etc.),  however I'm unsure of what I could use to extract images. Sorry, I ripped years ago most of the stuff from pop'n 15 to 18, and while I kept some stuff archived somewhere else, I would have to find the tools that I used back then on one of my old computers... so I'm not sure if they're still there or not. * The tidbit about Noriko being German is from the promotional description for her MOMENT album that can be found in various websites. It might have originated in a defunct, official website for the album, but I haven't checked if it existed. Oh, I see, thanks! Despite I didn't find anything, it makes sense. About the songs, I think it's her 100%, but I'm curious about your opinion.

So my fanmix page, the wiki detects it as a user or something like that, and i intended it to be formatted like it's my own page of my own wiki or something like what this guy does: User:MENDES (look at the subtopic entitled stuff to see what i'm talking about) and it turns out so my fanmix page is detected as a user bc there's a colon after my username in the page title, when it should be a slash like what mendes did with his personal pages for him to edit and stuff, is there anyway this could be changed or do i have to start all over again w a new page? thx in advance --booty (talk) 21:15, 29 April 2020 (UTC)

Lyrics for jubeat series
Thank you!
Do you have (or know anyone who have) jubeat series OST? I'm interested in filling all the missing lyrics but I do not have the OST myself. If you have it, can you send me pictures of the lyrics? Thanks in advance. --Spike! (talk) 11:09, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
Hey! Thank you for your help updating the rest of those songs on the Wii DDR games. I really appreciate it. The European Wii DDR games do not have a space between the word "party" and the numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5. So updating songs on the European DDR Wii games needed to be done. Again, thank you for your help! --LD1998 (talk) 16:03, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
* I don't, sorry. --FinalOffset (talk) 16:11, 7 May 2020 (UTC)

PSA: About reuploading images

Regarding the bug about reuploading images: yes, it is a known bug. To fix it, just press Shift+F5 to reload the image and it should be OK. If that does not fix it, please tell me. --FinalOffset (talk) 01:49, 5 July 2017 (UTC)

More i-appli BEMANI games

It turns out there's more i-appli BEMANi games than just DDR as seen in these pages. However, I don't know how to properly add a new page and I would like these to be added for me if possible. Sorry about that but yeah lol thank u however if u do add them!!! --booty (talk) 02:32, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

  • jubeat is already here, as mobile and mobile2. For the other series, I'll add stubs for them right now. Thanks! --FinalOffset (talk) 04:22, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

The Twin Guitar charts in the early GFDM games

How should they be handled? Specially considering the secret notes in GF1 and GF2(which there's very few info from what i know)
--TikalFan9000 (talk) 02:20, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

  • I've thought about them in the past. I'm going to make modifications in some templates so I'll see how to integrate them. --FinalOffset (talk) 21:07, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
    • In case you did not notice, i added a proof of concept "template" for the GFDM songs prior to GF5dm4 in my user page. Considering the difficulty unification that happened in those games, would it be better to use that rendition or to alter the already existing chart template?
      --TikalFan9000 (talk) 02:14, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
    • As I said, I'm planning to modify the actual template in order to make room for older GF/DM games, as I'm not a fan of putting another table into each page. I'll see what I can do. --FinalOffset (talk) 05:51, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

Gallery Page Clean-up Concept

a while back i shared a concept for cleaning up gallery pages to mod t7r
the proposal is to basically shorten the description of the entries in order to remove some redundancy

the guidelines i have in mind are as follows
- putting them in chronological order would be a rather good idea
- if a song has only one jacket/banner/etc in a series, one can put the name of the series as a whole in the description. if not, the game in which the graphic first appeared must be specified (EXCEPTION: the song and an alternate version for it debutting in the same game, and having no different variations afterwards, in which the game doesn't need to be specified)

- for difficulty variants, the name of the difficulty could be put in paranthesis after the game/series name

- for alternate graphics (e.g. upper charts, dancerush's different "versions", tsuminagara's "midnight" jacket in reflec), the parenthesis is only needed in the alternate version, like these

- and also unused stuff (5-10's jackets as an example)

what do you think? hopefully i explained it somewhat clear
--tikal. (talk) 20:12, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

  • I kinda like some of the changes, but it would be a big effort to change everything that I don't see it being a priority right now. --GlaringRadiokid (talk) 20:12, 21 November 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the help.

Just wanted to say thanks for fixing any errors I've made while updating artist/song pages. Movesp (talk) 15:20, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

  • No problem, thank you for making the pages! --GlaringRadiokid (talk) 15:34, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

Regarding the revert on Monkey Dance

Hi, was wondering regarding the rationale regarding the revert on the change I made on Monkey Dance. Given that the longer versions of Monkey Dance '09 are directly related to Monkey Dance as direct remixes of it similar to Butterfly or ABSOLUTE's song connection sections. Would it be better in Longer Version -> Short Version format instead?
Example:

  • Long version
    • Short playable version
    • Alternative version

-Movesp (talk) 19:19, 9 September 2022 (UTC)

  • It's something that has been done for years here. We want to avoid cluttering pages with redundant information. Since Monkey Dance '09 has its own page, their long versions and other related songs should be only in that page, not in the original Monkey Dance's. --GlaringRadiokid (talk) 19:49, 9 September 2022 (UTC)

video production info with images

hello! i have a question regarding video production info translations; how would ones featuring commentary on images (in the same page as all of the other music comments) be done and formatted??
specifically, i'm looking into translating jet coaster girl's designer comments, i'm not aware of any other designer comments on other songs that are presented in a similar way (this is excluding ones like taratta dance's, where there are images of the characters to go along with their bios, but aren't needed to understand them), but regardless i'd prefer to know your stance on how it should be handled before going ahead with it.
in this specific case, should the concept art and the commentary on it be omitted entirely (which i'd personally prefer to not do), or should it be included, and if so, how should it be formatted and such? thanks in advance!

Hiroshi Takeyasu only one picture

Hey man.

About Hiroshi Takeyasu. I'm pretty surprised that there is only one picture of him. I guess he is scared of being taken pictures which reminds me of Yoko Taro when he always hides himself with a mask. Marsoff (talk) 23:51, 29 August 2023 (UTC)

  • He has a more recent photo, but we're not using it since it's from one of his private social media accounts. --GlaringRadiokid (talk) 02:05, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

You mean Facebook? Marsoff (talk) 02:16, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

I think that photo was taken back in 2013 Marsoff (talk) 02:17, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

But anyway, I'm kinda surprised that by searching him the internet only has one photo of him. But any other photo doesn't need to be published here for sure. Marsoff (talk) 02:18, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

  • Yes, Facebook. It's more recent than the photo that we have here (which is from an early pop'n live event, can't remember which one). --GlaringRadiokid (talk) 02:34, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

About Lala Moore

Greetings,

I'd like to ask you something. Could you take a look? These are the songs from the game.

https://youtu.be/K0EqZ5qGmWs?t=14

https://youtu.be/JqXV4ZJSkzo?t=49

As you can hear, she has a kind of "accent" too.

Anyway, thank you for your time!

  • The tidbit about Noriko being German is from the promotional description for her MOMENT album that can be found in various websites. It might have originated in a defunct, official website for the album, but I haven't checked if it existed. I'll take a look at the songs that you linked later. --GlaringRadiokid (talk) 19:21, 6 October 2023 (UTC)

Oh, I see, thanks! Despite I didn't find anything, it makes sense. About the songs, I think it's her 100%, but I'm curious about your opinion.

  • They sound a bit like her voice. The description I mentioned is included in sites like this one. --GlaringRadiokid (talk) 01:31, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
