The final stage was supposed to be held with an audience of only 50 people, due to restrictions by the South Korean Government. The audience is chosen by lot. However, as the nationwide pandemic situation goes worse, especially in the Greater Seoul Area, the final stage was changed to be held without an audience, pre-recorded and aired via PlayX4's Twitch channel.
 
Unlike the previous competitions, in BMK SPECIAL STAGE winners are chosen for each participating game.

It was widely understood that BMK SPECIAL STAGE replaces the BMK competition of the year 2021, but BMK 2021 was announced after the SOUND VOLTEX final stage of BMK SPECIAL STAGE, to be separately held at the future.

BEMANI MASTER KOREA

BEMANI MASTER KOREA (BMK) is a biennial competition hosted by UNIANA, the publisher for BEMANI in Korea.

Unlike KONAMI Arcade Championship, only one winner is chosen in each set of BEMANI MASTER KOREA by adding up points earned by each participant from all participating games.

BMK 2013
