I've always felt that battle hiphop songs songs fit the Beatmania image fairly well, but this song takes a more end-of-the-century, serious route. Still, I wanted the the song to feel fairly bold, so it's actually got a lot of criticism for society, like the line from the refrain "One for the money, two for the game, crazy motherfuckers now suffer and die" Smash the evils of society on the buttons as you play! Since hip hop songs are in the minority in IIDX, there's not really enough material to make it possible to have a series of songs that continue each other. There haven't been many songs that provide game play at the level of difficulty that IIDX has reached in recent years while still remaining true to the essence of hip hop. This time, it's different. This is a song whose time has come. This song, "WAR GAME", which somehow has a totally different feel from other dance music, and has a hard attitude befitting hip hop. I hope it can let a new wind blow for those people who feel trapped inside their shell. | |||
