When dj TAKA came to me with this song, I didn't know if I'd be able to sing well enough to suit its mood, or if I'd be able to come up with good enough lyrics, so I was really worried about it. Trying to stuff my own personal image into a two-minute time frame is really hard for an amateur like me. So, in order to try to crystallize the image, I spent a lot of time watching love stories, and reading books... I put a lot of effort into expressing my own ideas as best as possible. But, it was still really hard!
When I received this song from dj TAKA, I was actually quite worried if I could sing or write the lyrics in a way which suited the song.<br>
It was quite difficult for me, as an amateur, to pack my own image in a two minute song.<br>
In order to try to strengthen this image, I watched romantic videos, and read books....<br>
I put a lot of effort into expressing my own thoughts as much as possible. But, it was still difficult. (sweats)


The theme of this song is unrequited love, but if you think about it, right after experiencing that sort of love, you feel really empty, even though you're full of emotions that are really hard to put into words. (At least, in my case.) Trying to make lyrics about that sort of feeling was very difficult for me, and pretty stressful. But, in the end, I came up with these lyrics. I'd say the first part is abstract, the middle becomes more specific, and the end is abstract again. Both the singing and the lyrics of the middle part are as vague as that sort of troubled, painful feeling, while the start and end try to express that sort of sadness in beautiful words and atmosphere.
The theme of this song is "heartbreak", but when you think about it, you feel really empty right after experiencing heartbreak, and are filled with feelings that you can't properly put into words. (In my case at least)<br>
When I tried to turn those vague emotions into sentences, I was worried that I would endlessly think about it and twist my body.<br>
But, I came up with these lyrics. I'd say the first half is abstract, the middle section becomes more specific, and the latter half is abstract.<br>
The singing and lyrics in the middle section felt vague, with troubled and painful human emotions, while the first and latter half showed this through the beautiful phrases and atmosphere.


The most beautiful part of yourself that comes out when you are in love with someone... but also, the dirtiest, the saddest, the weakest, and loneliest parts of ourselves... I wanted to try to express all of those in this two minute song.
I hope to express the feeling of having the most beautiful part of myself that can be seen in love with someone, and conversely an ambiguous feeling of having all the dirtiest, saddest, weakest, and loneliest parts of myself, combined in this two minute song.


... well, if you read the lyrics, they're pretty dark, aren't they? *g* But they don't seem nearly as dark when you put them together with the song, I think.<br>

There's a certain meaning that emerges from mixing sad lyrics with a bright song: that even in the coldest darkness, there's a certain brilliance of many lights.
But I think that impression changes by matching them to this song.<br>
I intend to provide meaning by singing the sad lyrics to this bright song, and vice versa.<br>
Even in the cold darkness, there's also a warm light, which is like lights.


In the end, if people will listen to this song, and even more, if even one person will like this song, it would make me undescribably happy...☆<br>

Since I'm the sort of person that really likes the (somewhat American) style of the BM4th art, doing art for a sort of song that "expresses sorrowful emotions using beautiful language" like lights was kind of a risky venture.
I'm a person who creates basic art, as seen in [[AC bm 4th|BM4th]] (American or unusual styled), so it was a bit of an adventure to draw the animations for lights, "a song which expresses sad emotions through its beautiful phrases".


And since this is flare's first song with us, I had to make sure it was really good! So I tried really hard with this video.
This is also flare's debut song in the beatmania IIDX series, so I couldn't create anything inappropriate! So I tried to work very hard and energetically on this video.
