Caution Screen
The Caution Screen is shown in some BEMANI games to warn players about dangerous motions, or copyright. This screen is often seen in the DanceDanceRevolution and Dance Maniax series, but has also seen in other BEMANI games as well. In this article, we will go through the common generic list of screens encountered in the game.

Regional warning screen
The regional warning screen is the first screen to be shown before fading to the KONAMI logo. The screen informs that arcade cabinets are only sold in certain regions only and on rules of copyright.
The game is for sale and use in Japan※ only. The copyrighted music/characters/artwork in this game are separately own by the authors. The use of this game outside the territory is strictly prohibited. ※Replaces Asia, Korea, Europe or North America depending on the country and version used.
Extreme play screen
The Extreme play, which has usually been seen when beginning a session of arcade games, notably DanceDanceRevolution and Dance Maniax, warned players on the dangers of intense game playing and on spectator side. Variants of the screens were:
GuitarFreaks games
Do not play this game by wailing the guitar wildly. It may cause injury to observers.
DrumMania games
Do not play this game by swinging the sticks wildly. It may cause injury to observers.
SOUND VOLTEX games
Extreme play motions are dangerous. Do not slam the knobs or play area or press the screen too hard.
Arcade DanceDanceRevolution games
Extreme play motions are dangerous. Be careful on the raised platform and the wiring conduit on the ground when stepping on the dance stage.
Console DanceDanceRevolution games
Extreme play motions are dangerous. Be careful not to slip and fall on the DanceDanceRevolution Controller & not to disturb others with step vibrations.
Lighting screen
Exclusive to console version games, this caution screen is shown to inform players playing the game on a brightly-lit environment, in addition to the normal gameplay. The brightly-lit environment screen warning is to reduce the risk of possible seizures via strobe lights, which came into light after the infamous seizure incident in 1997.
Please turn on the lights of your room and keep a distance from the TV monitor. When using the original controller, please read the manual and avoid reckless playing manners. Please keep neighbors in consideration when playing.
