Hideyuki Shin was a guest animator for pop'n music 12 いろは, animating several of the characters in the game. He joined KONAMI sometime during the development of Silent Hill 4: The Room, his first work with the company. He also worked on motion design for KONAMI's long-running Winning Eleven (Pro Evolution Soccer in North America) series from 2007 through 2009, and continued to work on the next two games in the Research & Development section.

Hideyuki left KONAMI sometime around 2011, with his last known credit for the company being the 2011 release Winning Eleven 2012. His only known video game project since his departure was as the director of Grasshopper Manufacture Inc.'s 2013 KILLER IS DEAD, which reunited him with former Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka.
