DanceDanceRevolution GRAND PRIX

Release Information

  • Platform: PC
  • Alpha test: August 24th, 2021 to September 6th, 2021
  • Release date: November 8th, 2021

General Information / Changes

  • First online PC DanceDanceRevolution title.
  • Interface based on DanceDanceRevolution A20 PLUS blue version.
    • Grading system and character animations are the same as well.
  • Tickets must be purchased to play most of the modes of GRANDPRIX, similar to SOUND VOLTEX III GRAVITY WARS コナステ. Cost is as follows:
    • 5 tickets: 110 yen/PASELI
    • 25 tickets (plus 1 free ticket): 550 yen/PASELI
    • 50 tickets (plus 4 free tickets): 1100 yen/PASELI
    • 100 tickets (plus 12 free tickets): 2200 yen/PASELI
    • 200 tickets (plus 35 free tickets): 4400 yen/PASELI
  • Five gameplay modes are present:
    • Free Play (フリープレー): play a limited amount of songs for free. Only BEGINNER charts are playable, and scores do not save.
    • Trial Normal Play (トライアルノーマルプレー): costs 5 tickets. Three stages, a limited songlist, and can only play on Single. Scores do not save.
    • The following three modes require you to join the basic course, which costs 1,628 yen/PASELI a month. Scores and any songs you unlocked from A20 PLUS will save when playing, but your scores are recorded separately from A20 PLUS.
      • GRAND PRIX (グランプリプレー): you can play as much as you want any songs from the arcade DanceDanceRevolution titles up to DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA2, except for the CHALLENGE-only charts from DDRMAX2. Options are based on Arcade Premium Play. Tickets will not be consumed.
      • Arcade Premium Play (アーケードプレミアムプレー): three songs, and all songs are available. EXTRA STAGE is available, and all options are available in the options menu.
      • Arcade Normal Play (アーケードノーマルプレー): three stages, but no EXTRA STAGE, a smaller songlist, and a more limited options menu.
  • A new dance mat can be ordered for the game, as shown here.
