Song Connections / Remixes

  • smooooch・∀・ is part of kors k's CANDY RAVE series of songs. Other songs in the series include:
  • An extended, hardcore-style version of smooooch・∀・ appears on kors k's first album, Ways for Liberation.
  • An eurobeat remix of smooooch・∀・ by DJ Command, titled smooooch・∀・ -秋葉工房 mix-, also appears on kors k's first album, Ways for Liberation.
  • The "move your body" soundbite can also be heard in DJ TAKAWO's 荒野のおイモ屋さん from beatmania APPEND GOTTAMIX2 ~Going Global~.
  • The "look up in the sky" soundbite in smooooch・∀・ is also used in stealth from DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA2.
  • A remix of smooooch・∀・ by KN, titled smooooch・∀・ KNmix, can be found in SOUND VOLTEX BOOTH.
  • 9 seconds are cut out of the REFLEC BEAT version of smooooch・∀・, mostly the intro.

Trivia

  • smooooch・∀・ is MAYA's last non-Zektbach video for beatmania IIDX to date.
  • smooooch・∀・ appears as a preview to EMPRESS on beatmania IIDX 15 DJ TROOPERS CS, and also on Visual Emotions 7.
  • smooooch・∀・'s BG Video has spawned multiple parodies on YouTube and Nico Nico Douga.
  • smooooch・∀・ is kors k's second song to appear in multiple BEMANI series (the first being SigSig).
  • In pop'n music 19 TUNE STREET, once unlocked, smooooch・∀・ can be purchased in the Town Mode CD shop for 900 TP.
  • Like with SigSig, only the main character from the original video (the pink-haired girl) is playable in pop'n music, and has no alternate colors. The other princesses only appear in the Win, Dance, and Fever animations. (All three appear on the banner of the song though.)
    • According to shio, she received a copy of the original smooooch・∀・ video from the beatmania IIDX team, and ported most of the animations from there with minimal changes.
      • She was also told that she wasn't allowed to make any new animations, aside from a new LOSE animation.
  • smooooch・∀・ received an EASY chart in pop'n music Sunny Park, replacing its old 5-Buttons chart.
  • According to wac, smooooch・∀・ was originally going to be added to pop'n music in pop'n music 18 せんごく列伝, but didn't end up being in the game because he felt the characters greatly clashed with the game's samurai setting.
  • smooooch・∀・ was added to jubeat saucer on January 1st, 2013.

Video Production Information

Hello, MAYA here.

This is "SigSig 2", with three different princesses running about.

Originally, for EMPRESS, I was going to have one tomboyish princess running around the screen having her clothes change three times.

This movie is worthy to be considered as a sequel to SigSig and continues what I wanted to do with the SigSig video, which was dancing with full animation.

Remember to watch the parts when the girls try to throw in a last kiss!

I appreciate this and enjoy playing whenever possible.
