Gallery
* VANESSA is the default EXTRA STAGE song in beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD and its CS counterpart.
* Throughout the entire video of VANESSA, a portrait of "Vanessa de Verdet" is displayed. Depending on the song performance, the portrait portrays certain facial expressions.
** This video was removed from the beatmania IIDX arcade games in beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro due to technical issues. It was replaced with a generic video. However, its original video could still be found in the hard drive data, and its unique title card remained.
*** VANESSA's video was restored in beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL, though it no longer makes facial expressions while playing.
* VANESSA is one of two songs (the other being KAMAITACHI) on beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD CS to feature a special chart only available in Dan mode, used as the third song of the Single Play Kaiden (皆伝) course.
** This chart was revived as a Black ANOTHER chart in beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS + PREMIUM BEST.
** This chart was later added to the arcades as a LEGGENDARIA chart, appearing as the third song of beatmania IIDX 24 SINOBUZ's CLASSIC 皆伝 course (which is identical to beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD CS's Single Play Kaiden course).
*** A brand-new Double LEGGENDARIA chart was added as well.
*** As of beatmania IIDX 25 CANNON BALLERS, these charts are available by default.
*** These charts are available in beatmania IIDX INFINITAS (2020) since July 26th, 2023.
* The portrait can be seen hanging above a small throne in the background animation for beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS' EXTRA STAGE system, EMPRESS PLACE.
* VANESSA was added to DanceDanceRevolution X2 on August 25th, 2010, as the third song in the "Boss Rush X2" course.
** As of December 24th, 2010, VANESSA has been unlocked for normal play.
* In the DanceDanceRevolution series, VANESSA's beatmania IIDX video is used, although it plays in the background of a black-colored variant of the MOVIE background dance stage and is not full-screen.
** Also, the portrait shows the same facial expression, regardless of the player's performance, due to system limitations, much like the video's post-PENDUAL incarnation.
** In DanceDanceRevolution II/DanceDanceRevolution hottest party5, though, VANESSA's video removes any on-screen dancers and is played in a tiny monitor on the opposite side of the player on Single and in the center on Double/Versus, due to Nintendo Wii memory limitations.
* VANESSA appears as downloadable content for DanceDanceRevolution S+, in the beatmania IIDX Song Pack3.
* VANESSA was added to beatmania IIDX INFINITAS on October 4th, 2017 as part of the October 2017 Basic Subscription Monthly Songs.
** From November 2019, it can be purchased with BITs.
* VANESSA is available in DanceDanceRevolution GRAND PRIX's GRAND PRIX mode from May 25th, 2023, by purchasing the GRAND PRIX music pack vol.20 (グランプリ楽曲パック vol.20).

* Throughout the entire video of this song, a portrait of "Vanessa" is displayed. Depending on the song performance, the portrait portrays certain facial expresiions

Suzaku
There is enough separation between "mental anguish" and normality.

* In certain parts of the song, the loud guitar sounds from Contract can be heard, possibly a theme of Suzaku's.
The melody is divided between left and right as if to echo his thoughts full of hypocrisy.

* This is one of two songs (the other being KAMAITACHI) on CS GOLD that feature a special chart only available in dan mode.
He was seen as a "moralist" but suffered as a "hypocrite." His ultimate fate will be welcome to him!

...Or not!

Vanessa de Verdet<br>
1794-1844

Earl Vanessa de Verdet.

He was so obsessed with the idea of noble life that he suffered sadly for it.<br>
A portrait called Earl Vanessa portrays the grief that dwells with him.

In 1845, the painting, which had the bottom half burnt during the war, was restored.

Currently, the painting is kept at a particular museum.<br>
There seems to be a strange event, where a burnt ash pile gathers under his portrait.

... or maybe not.
