A musical phrase that occurred to me while strolling down the sparkling streets of Vienna at the end of the century is now resurrected now in Tokyo. It's full of a romanticism that scatters about, chilling me to the bone with excitement. Though the signature goes to 6/8 thanks to the jazz and swing elements I used as a base, this song is really a waltz at its core. It becomes a triumphant(?) fugue in the middle, but at the end its passion returns with a fury than no-one can withstand! | A musical phrase that occurred to me while strolling down the sparkling streets of Vienna at the end of the century is now resurrected now in Tokyo. Vienna, the capital of Austria, has lent its name to this song. Unfortunately, I've never been to Vienna, so I could only assemble indirect material for a movie. I remember talking to [[Takayuki Ishikawa|dj TAKA]] a lot, trying to figure out what I should do. Since the name of the song was a name of an actual place, I felt that I should try to find some fitting scenery images. When I gave it some more thought, I realized it might be better to assemble something that captured the spirit of Vienna in a less direct fashion. Struggling along with thoughts of what sort of things wouldn't express the changes in spirit that define this city, I had the idea of replacing the concept of "the soul" with water to take advantage of its constant motion to convey these ideas. I experimented using various processes to align this abstract form with the spirit of the song. I'm very pleased with the form of presentation that opened up this new circumstance, and I think the result was magnificent. I think it would be good to play this song surrendering your body to the light and sound. | Vienna, the capital of Austria, has lent its name to this song.
