=== LIMIT BURST == | = LIMIT BURST =
beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro's EXTRA STAGE system is renamed to LIMIT BURST. With the sole exception of Sol Cosine Job 2, all of its songs are boss songs from other BEMANI games not crossed over before to beatmania IIDX.
Each LIMIT BURST song, in addition to requiring the EXTRA STAGE to be unlocked and the first three stages consisting of songs from a specific subset of songs, has four different phases of unlock conditions. Each phase, except for Phase 4, has a minimum total difficulty and clear status requirement. Phases for each song cycle every week until Phase 4 (except for Timepiece phase II). Failing any stage will prevent LIMIT BURST from appearing, even if you meet requirements.
* Phase 1: | |||
** NORMAL and HYPER not available.
** ANOTHER: combined total difficulty of at least 33, all songs with FULL COMBO.
* Phase 2: | |||
** NORMAL not available.
** HYPER: combined total difficulty of at least 27, all songs HARD CLEAR or above.
** ANOTHER: combined total difficulty of at least 33, all songs with EX-HARD CLEAR or above.
* Phase 3: | |||
** NORMAL: combined total difficulty of at least 18, any clear rate.
** HYPER: combined total difficulty of at least 27, CLEAR or above.
** ANOTHER: combined total difficulty of at least 33, HARD CLEAR or above.
* Phase 4: | |||
** All charts: No difficulty or clear requirement.
From February 18th, 2013 onward, you can permanently unlock LIMIT BURST songs with DELLAR. If you already played the songs before, you can buy them with Devil Cards. If you don't, you'll need to use the more expensive Angel Cards. Please see the tricoro Devil and Angel Card unlocks page for more details.
All songs were on Phase 4 by tricoro's end except for Timepiece phase II (CN Ver.), which only went down to Phase 3.

== | = LEGEND CROSS (tricoro / RED) =
tricoro's first color unlock event, LEGEND CROSS system, began on October 10th, 2012. Here you can unlock new songs by obtaining Astran lights. The LEGEND CROSS boss songs are mash-ups of songs from their respective versions. LEGEND CROSS originals have a red background bar on the songwheel menu. e-amusement is required to play the event.
The combination of styles and their boss numbers for the songs are as follows:
* IIDX RED (#1) x Resort Anthem (#6): SYNC-ANTHEM
* 2nd style (#2) x 10th style (#7): ΕΛΠΙΣ
* 6th style (#3) x 8th style (#8): rumrum triplets
* DistorteD (#4) x DJ TROOPERS (#9): S!ck
* GOLD (#5) x Lincle (#10): CONCEPTUAL
The goal of the event is to collect "Astran shines", which are divided among NORMAL, HYPER, and ANOTHER difficulty. Astran shines cannot be obtained when playing with two players. Astran is tied to the difficulty level used on; for example, acquiring the Astran on ANOTHER for IIDX RED and Resort Anthem will make the ANOTHER chart of SYNC-ANTHEM playable. Acquired Astran can be checked on the e-AMUSEMENT gate DJ DATA for tricoro.
To meet the requirements for these songs to appear on EXTRA STAGE, you must meet certain requirements pertaining to a certain musical style. Only by completing the required styles' requirements can you unlock that song on EXTRA STAGE. Requirements per style are as follows:
* IIDX RED: get a Silver Tran Medal for completing the first year in STEP UP.
* 2nd style: get the DJ POINT Tran Medals for NORMAL (1000), HYPER (2000), and ANOTHER (3000) (note that must be done between either Single or Double; they are not combined).
* 6th style: get a Bronze Tran Medal for completing five different days of Today's Featured Songs.
* DistorteD: obtain a rank/grade Tran Medal.
* GOLD: get Tran Medals for playing one song in each game folder from 1st style through tricoro on each difficulty level you want to unlock the chart at (minimum of 60 plays for all three difficulty levels). substream is not required.
* Resort Anthem: end at least one song on a credit with a EX SCORE of 573.
* 10th style: finish at least one song on a credit with Floating HI-SPEED set to 5.73.
* 8th style: play one or more songs in one credit, aliginging the target score graph with "PACEMAKER ---%" and entering in the order of "5", "7", and then "3" on the numeric keypad.
* DJ TROOPERS: finish at least one song on a credit using SUDDEN+/HIDDEN+/HID-SUD+ so that the green number is 573.
* Lincle: during a credit, choose a song for FIRST STAGE with x5 seconds, then SECOND STAGE with x7 seconds remaining, and FINAL STAGE with x3 seconds remaining.
* UNKNOWN-1: defeat the first five songs two times each to obtain five crystals. See below for more details.
* UNKNOWN-2: defeat the ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE boss.
Once you obtain the requirements for any matching pair of songs, you can unlock that song for play on EXTRA STAGE by meeting EXTRA STAGE requirements and playing songs only from that respective game's folder. For example, if you want to play rumrum triplets, you need to be play either a set of 6th style oe 8th style songs on the same credit.
Successfully accomplish the above, and you'll head to the EXTRA STAGE song of your choosing, where you will fight a boss in that song. Each boss has a top and bottom half to destroy, which is determined by which game you chose for your EXTRA STAGE. For example, to defeat the boss of CONCEPTUAL, you'll need to play through a credit of GOLD songs for its top half, and Lincle songs for its bottom half. Each successful defeat earns you a crystal. Crystals must be obtained in the order of (old x new) and (new x old) in order to gain access to Thor's Hammer and Plan 8. Which difficulty you obtain the crystals on determines what the difficulty level you get the two above songs on (i.e. if you collect 10 NORMAL crystals, you'll proceed to Thor's Hammer NORMAL and then Plan 8 NORMAL).
Requirements are as follows to defeating the bosses (you need to at least EASY CLEAR or above, regardless of difficulty chosen). MIRROR and ASSIST options are not allowed. FLIP can be used on all bosses on Double, however.
* Boss number 1-5 (old x new styles): upper half.
** Music form: regular | |||
** NORMAL: C or higher. | |||
** HYPER: B or higher. | |||
** ANOTHER: A or higher.
* Boss number 6-10 (new x old styles): bottom half.
** Music form: RANDOM (Single), regular/RANDOM (Double)
** NORMAL: C or higher. | |||
** HYPER: B or higher. | |||
** ANOTHER: A or higher.
After obtaining ten crystals by defeating the top and bottom halves of the five preceding songs, you then gain access to Thor's Hammer. It will then appear in the LEGEND CROSS folder. To move on to Plan 8, you must EASY CLEAR or above the song with the grade requirements of the above songs. If you meet the conditions with all ten crystals in hand, you will move on to Plan 8. FLIP will be disabled when playing it. The difficulty level you play depends on what you cleared Thor's Hammer on. Clear the song, and that difficulty level will appear from then on in the LEGEND CROSS folder. If you fail the song, you will lose a few crystals you gathered on that difficulty level and will have to re-obtain them to play it again. Even if you pass Plan 8, you will have to reobtain the bottom half crystals again to play it again.
In addition the above seven songs, two CS crossovers can also be obtained during the event by meeting certain requirements. Time to Empress can be unlocked by finishing one of the sets of requirements for the boss songs, and mnemoniq can be unlocked defeating one of the bosses on both the top and bottom halves.
LEGEND CROSS ended on December 5th, 2012. Please see the tricoro Devil and Angel Card unlocks page regarding unlocking its songs for normal play.

== | = Ω-ATTACK (tricoro / BLUE) =
tricoro's second color unlock event, Ω-ATTACK, began on December 12th, 2012. It a post-credit mini-game involing clearing viruses from a network. It will not be shown if two players are playing. Ω-ATTACK originals have a blue background bar on the songwheel menu. e-amusement is required to play the event.
To unlock the songs in Ω-ATTACK, you need to acquire CP (code points). CP can be obtained in any game mode after a credit except for the first time you play. You will play until you either press START or run out of time.
To move around the map, use the turntable to choose a direction and then press the black keys to move. You start off at CODE LEVEL 1 (maxing out a 9) with 0 CP with a maximum cap of 100. As you progress, you can level up your CODE LEVEL to attack viruses across the map, which also increases the amount of CP you can hold. Defeating viruses unlocks DELLAR, song charts, and even weapons. There are also warp pads that you can use to warp around between areas and both SECTORs.
Occassionally you'll be stopped by a gate. To open the gate, you need to get all seven KEY PROGRAMs in each SECTOR. Unlocking the gate in SECTOR-A allows you to get トリカゴノ鳳凰 and proceed on to SECTOR-B. SECTOR-B's KEY PROGRAMs, once obtained, allows you to obtain the final boss song Proof of the existence. You can continue afterwards across the map to destroy blank squares, but they only reward you with DELLAR.
You have four weapons you can use on your journey, though you only start off with 1WAY.
* 1WAY: initial weapon. It attacks one square adjacent to the open square for Lv.1. Uses 1 CP.
* 3WAY: obtained in SECTOR-A. Attacks selected and adjacent squares on both sides of it by Lv.1. Uses 2 CP.
* LASER: obtained in SECTOR-B. Attack four straight lines for Lv.1. You can attack distant cells not connected to the land as well. Uses 3 CP.
* BOMB: obtained in SECTOR-B. Opens up six squares regardless of square level. Uses 4 CP.
To unlock charts, you will need to be at certain levels to unlock them. They are as follows:
* SECTOR-A: | |||
** 仮想空間の旅人たち: level 1 (NORMAL/HYPER), level 2 (ANOTHER)
** 8bit Princess: level 1 (NORMAL), level 2 (HYPER/ANOTHER)
** トリカゴノ鳳凰: level 2 (all charts)
** Reflection Into the EDEN: level 2 (NORMAL/ANOTHER), level 1 (HYPER)
* SECTOR-B: | |||
** planarian, Tp-RZ, 龍と少女とデコヒーレンス, たまゆら: level 1 (NORMAL), level 2 (HYPER), level 3 (ANOTHER)
** Proof of the existence: level 3 (all charts)
Unlocking all the songs on both SECTOR-A and SECTOR-B awards you a Golden Tran Medal, but does not end the event.
Ω-ATTACK ended on March 20th, 2013. Please see the tricoro Devil and Angel Card unlocks page regarding unlocking its songs for normal play.

= OUR SPACE WAR (ぼくらの宇宙戦争) (tricoro / YELLOW) =
tricoro's third and final color unlock event, ぼくらの宇宙戦争, began on March 21st, 2013. It is a post-credit RPG-style mini-game that involves defeating alien bosses in order to unlock new songs. It will not appear if two players are playing. ぼくらの宇宙戦争 originals have a yellow background bar on the songwheel menu. e-amusement is required to play the event.
After completing a credit of play, you initially choose one of four space monsters to fight. The space monster has a health icon, and the amount of damage done to it increased in the order blue, then yellow, then red. The damage you do to the enemy depends on the time of day you attack it; please see BEMANIWiki 2nd for more details on these times. Monsters' HP is displayed on the top of the screen, HEROIC GAUGE is displayed on the bottom left, and CRITICAL GAUGE is displayed at the bottom corner of the screen.
With each attack, the HP of the monster will decrease according to the damage done, and increases the HEROIC GAUGE and CRITICAL GAUGE. For each third of the HP you depelte from a monster, you will earn its charts in the order of NORMAL, HYPER, and lastly ANOTHER. Increasing the HEROIC GAUGE by each third also unlocks a chart of the chapter's corresponding CS song in that order. CRITICAL GAUGE, when full, allows one to use a special attack, shown as a cut-in animation with your Q-Pro. This increases the damage you do by double, but also completely deplets the gauge. Your ATTACK LEVEL will also increase after a CRITICAL GAUGE attack (50 is the max level). Once both regular bosses in a chapter are defeated, you can then fight the big boss of that chapter. Once all six bosses from both chapters are defeated (plus the HEROIC GAUGE songs are obtained), you will then fight the final chapter boss. Defeating the final chapter boss ends the event.
Bronze Tran Medals are awarded for unlocking Boss #1, 2, 5, and 6, and the HEROIC GAUGE songs' NORMAL and HYPER charts, and Silver Tran Medals are awarded for their ANOTHERs. Silver Tran Medals are awarded for unlocking the NORMAL and HYPER charts of Boss #3 #6, and #7, with Gold Tran Medals awarded for unlocking their ANOTHER charts.
