APPEND DISC

APPEND DISC is a KONAMI term for PlayStation and Dreamcast game discs that cannot start on their own, and must be launched by inserting a KEY DISC into the console then swapping to the APPEND DISC via the in-game DISC CHANGE menu. The concept is overall very similar to expansion packs that were released for many game during that era, and allowed for new games to be released at a lower price. An APPEND DISC game from a given series can only be used with KEY DISC games from the same series.

DanceDanceRevolution

The following discs will require either DanceDanceRevolution 2ndReMIX or DanceDanceRevolution 3rdMIX CS to play. However, disc changing from 3rdMIX will still use the 2ndReMIX interface regardless.

Also, the following KEY DISCS can also be used as APPEND DISCS provided they are booted via the DISC CHANGE menu in DanceDanceRevolution 2ndReMIX or DanceDanceRevolution 3rdMIX CS. However, the interface used will be the interface of the game that was DISC CHANGEd from. Also, background animations are disabled when the discs are played via a later game's interface.
