- Sandstorm reached #1 in Norway and was the world's best-selling single in 2000.
- Sandstorm is Darude's debut single. The song later appeared on his debut album Before the Storm in May 2001.
- Sandstorm is part of the "Darude - Sandstorm" Internet meme, in which the song title refers to any unknown song.
- Sandstorm's charts and difficulties in the location test of UBeat are different from the charts and difficulties in jubeat knit. However, they use the same jacket.
- The cover version of Sandstorm was replaced by the original one when the game version was updated from UBeat to jukebeat, and it also recieved different charts, difficulties and jacket.
