May 2004. I waited for a legendary person at KONAMI's lobby reception floor in Roppongi Hills. Who was the mysterious person who connected me with that person? Luck was also with me.
The lobby floor was wide, quiet, and had a great view, and that person soon appeared as I was looking around. It was Togo-chef, a charismatic producer with many of his songs included since the early BEMANI series, who said "hello, I'm Togo" while wearing jeans and an aloha shirt.
This collaboration started from conversations such as "Aki, by all means, I'd like for you to participate in the next 8th..." and "I know this is your first time participating in game music, but by all means, please appear in it...".
He let me listen to a CD-R and said "this is the kind of song that I want, but Aki, please write lyrics for it!". While listening to this song, I thought English lyrics were more perfect for it, so I asked "may I write the lyrics in English?", and he replied "of course it's OK".
"Well, I'll try my best!"
Then, I started writing the lyrics little by little in between gigs and work. Before the main recording session in mid-June, I told Togo-chef what I wanted for the arrangement, and asked him to make a beat-filled dance music song.
The English lyrics weren't difficult to write, where I expressed the honest feelings of a girl in love. The Japanese translation might be a bit Harley Quinn-esque? It's included on the lyrics card of the CD, so please check it.
And filming this video was very enjoyable. I spent a half-day filming on location, and there was a friendly atmosphere with Togo-chef and all the KONAMI staff, who were serious and focused, while always laughing throughout.
There are various secret stories about the filming (laughs!), but there's another chance to discuss them, so I hope you'll enjoy the completed "Tell Me More..." in the game and highlights from the video.
Actually, I was really impressed when I saw it played immediately at the Tokyo Game Show. Even so, I was surprised by everyone playing it quickly! I couldn't help but be fascinated by it.
I'm very honored to participate in this historical and famous game. If I have another opportunity like this, by all means, I'd like to try and challenge it.

Togo-chef

During the time when I was thinking about creating this new song for IIDX, I received a sample CD through an acquaintance.
I casually started listening to this CD and was struck by a Japanese soulful vocal style, and it wasn't long that I received collaboration offers from artist-based companies. Fortunately, Aki Asahina heard the demo of this song and loved it, so a collaboration which exceeds the barriers of the game/music industry has materialized!

Togo-chef

I originally created this song for beatmania IIDX, but there hasn't been many R&B songs of this type in the pop'n music series, we also simultaneously included in pop'n. Do they have a sibling relationship? I'd be very happy if you can play and compare this song in both beatmania and pop'n!
Well, the original character in pop'n CS, "V.B", is sexy and creepy. She's my favorite character (laughs).

Shirane.A.I (Jinko Chino)

This was the first movie I created, it was live-action, but I didn't know how to properly handle the equipment, edit it after filming, and there wasn't someone to discuss about technical issues with, so I completely struggled for 3000 miles in a fog. No no no no, it's not a dream. It's real. Mother, please help me!... Just filming artist videos make me feel tense and apologetic, and I was filled with feelings about it. Looking back now, they were good memories. When I watch this movie, it conveys how I felt during that time, "this is the best I can do now"... I'm grateful to everyone who helped me with filming. I'm also grateful to Aki. I'm grateful to everyone. Many thanks.

The genre is R&B, but it actually started as J-R&B.
So, I consciously drew her as Japanese with black hair.

There are many prominent characters in the R&B genre, such as Mary and tourmaline, so I was careful not to have a similar atmosphere with them as much as possible.

By the way, although this is a rough sketch, various people asked me "is she wearing anything underneath?".

When you look closely... she's actually wearing a long torso with short legs.
I secretly thought she was cute~ and looked like a dachshund with short legs, but I was frankly asked "aren't her legs short?", so I was tragically defeated.

There were times like this~.
She somehow doesn't have enough impact! So, it was a time with various trial and error.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but there was rough graffiti which read "go-go female leopard", and I remember feeling disappointed when I later saw it;
