KEY DISC

KEY DISC is a KONAMI term for PlayStation and Dreamcast game discs that contain an independent game title but can also be used to boot APPEND DISC games, which cannot start up on their own. A KEY DISC game from a given series can only be used with APPEND DISC games from the same series.

List of KEY DISC games

Games with an asterisk denote they can disc change to at least one other KEY DISC, or can be used to boot APPEND DISCS.

beatmania

Only beatmania CS can be disc changed to from another KEY DISC (but not itself). Attempting to disc change from one KEY DISC to any other KEY DISC will give an error message.
