Battle Train -IIDX Edition- is a shortened (and slightly remixed) cut of Battle Train Remix from the NEO CONTRA Original Soundtrack, itself a remix of the track of the same name from the 2002 PlayStation 2 game Contra: Shattered Soldier/Shin Contra.
An unrelated remix of Battle Train by AKIRA YAMAOKA, titled Battle Train -HOT SOTA MIX-B, appears on Sota Fujimori's first album, SYNTHESIZED.
Some of the synths in Battle Train -IIDX Edition- sound similar to those in Midnite Blaze (SySF Mix), previously featured on the V-RARE SOUND TRACK 5 CD.

Battle Train -IIDX Edition-'s "video" is all gameplay footage from NEO CONTRA. The end of the video reveals the footage was captured by L.E.D. The footage itself is from the first half of Mission 2 of NEO CONTRA. L.E.D. notes in the video production that playing NEO CONTRA was a bit annoying to him, mixing in work with play.
