Profile
Rie Aono was born in Himi City, Toyama Prefecture. She debuted in 1996 as a member of the gospel chorus group VOJA led by Yuka Kamebuchi, and has also performed with Akiko Wada and Ken Hirai, appearing in various live performances, TV shows, and commercials. After graduating from VOJA, she started her solo career, and in 1999, she co-starred with Nana Kinomi, Yuji Nakamura, and Jun Togawa in the stage play Techno Cabaret produced by coba.
Currently, Rie is active in various fields such as commercial music, live performances, singing in recordings, commercial narration, etc. Depending on her work and setting, she sings in a wide range of genres, from bossa nova to gospel, Hawaiian, and electronica.
