General Information

First pop'n music game with an anime opening.
- MZD, FUGA, HIUMI, RETSU, RINKA, and nia all appear in the opening.
  - The video seems to indicate that nia and RETSU may be the main rivals this time around, replacing mainstays Nyami and Mimi. It's unknown at this time whether or not this is true, though.
The portrait designs of the new and returning characters for the new ラピストリア songs have changed to a more anime-esque style (the animation sprites retain the same design style as older games, though).
None of the banners for the new ラピストリア songs have genres on them.
HI-SPEED can now be increased/decreased by 0.1 amounts, instead of 0.5 amounts like previous releases.
- It also displays which will be the new BPM after applying the chosen HI-SPEED.
EASY and HARD gauges, much like the beatmania IIDX series, have been added.
