Song Connections / Remixes

  • NZM is related to Godspeed, also from beatmania IIDX 23 copula.
    • Godspeed is sampled in the first few seconds of NZM.
  • An extended version of NZM, titled NZM (SUNLiGHT Mix), can be found on Ryu☆'s third best of album, Ryu☆BEST -SUNLiGHT-.

Trivia

  • NZM is the 終着 song of the Season Line EXTRA STAGE system of beatmania IIDX 23 copula and the ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE of the event itself. Its NORMAL charts could be accessed from September 15th, 2016, after obtaining "riding icons" by clearing all the previous Season Line songs on the same difficulty.
    • When NZM is played as an ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE song, the EX-HARD gauge is forced on.
      • Only for the first time the ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE is played, players will not be able to gain any gauge lost, a first in beatmania IIDX.
      • From the third try onward, HARD gauge is just forced on instead.
    • Its HYPER charts could be played from September 22nd, 2016.
    • Its ANOTHER charts could be played from September 29th, 2016.
  • NZM marks the first original composition of the Kosuke Saito and Ryutaro Nakahara duo, The 4th, in a BEMANI game. They previously appeared with a couple of licensed songs.
  • NZM is the ending theme of beatmania IIDX 23 copula.
  • The video for NZM was done by re-editing a generic video from beatmania IIDX 9th style.
  • NZM's video is related to Godspeed's one.
    • They feature once again Aegis and a dark version of her.
    • The demon face icon from beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL's Chrono Seeker and Qpronicle Chord events can be seen on the red train and the dark Aegis character.
  • NZM stands for "Nozomi" (のぞみ), the fastest train service running on the Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen lines in Japan.
    • Also, Tokaido (in Tokyo) and Sanyo (in Fukuoka) reference Kosuke Saito and Ryutaro Nakahara's birthplaces, respectively.
  • NZM received a jacket on the BEMANI Fan Site CHECK!SONGS page for September 2016. This jacket has not yet been used in a BEMANI game.
