She is from Himi City, Toyama Prefecture.

Debuted in 1996 as a member of the gospel chorus group VOJA led by Yuka Kamebuchi. She participated in two albums released by Toshiba EMI. She has performed with Akiko Wada and Ken Hirai, and has appeared in various live performances, TV shows, and commercials. After graduating from VOJA, she started her solo career, and in 1999, she co-starred with Nana Kinomi, Yuji Nakamura, and Jun Togawa in the stage play "Techno Cabaret" produced by coba.

Currently, she is active in various fields such as commercial music, live performances, singing in recordings, commercial narration, etc. Depending on her work and setting, she sings in a wide range of genres, from bossa nova to gospel, Hawaiian, and electronica. She also has a reputation for her singing instruction, such as being a lecturer at a music school, and she is also focusing on training younger singers as a voice trainer.
