General Information / Changes

• MÚSECA 1+1/2 was first known as the "Renovation" major update that was announced in early February. It eventually became an append version to the original MÚSECA game.
• MÚSECA has now two modes: a "pure game" one and a mission one. Either mode is chosen upon starting the game, but can be switched duriing song or Mission select with the lower left spinner:
  • Pure game mode has no speed changes, no lane change shifts and no score changing caused by Grafica. The obtainable max score in this mode is 1000000 points. LIFE has been removed; instead, to clear a song you now need 700000 points or higher, but failing a song does not result in an early game over. You also cannot fail in the middle of a song anymore. The level restriction for chart selection is removed. Grafica can still be used but will not cause any effect, however they can still be leveled up which is useful for missions.
  • Mission mode is where Grafica are unlocked and where their skills affect the game (such as more chances of obtaining other Grafica, etc...).
• Grafica level up when used. The level name in the game is known as MEDEL. The MEDEL cap of the Grafica depends on which difficulty you completed the mission to unlock the specific Grafica itself.
• Grafica's elements have been simplified to just five only: NATURAL (green), PASSION (red), COOL (blue), PURE (white), and DARK (gray). The names of the elements are also written in English. Grafica's elements come into action in missions: unlocking Grafica becomes easier if you use a Grafica with a specific element against another:
  • COOL counters PASSION.
  • PASSION counters NATURAL.
  • NATURAL counters COOL.
  • PURE and DARK counter each other.
• The UI is now easier to navigate; the lower right spinner and the start button is all you need to go through it. However, the other spinners can still be used for navigation:
  • The top left spinner accesses filtering options for tracks or Grafica.
  • The bottom left spinner allows switching between pure game mode and Mission mode, but only during song or Mission selection, and not during Grafica selection.
  • The top right spinner accesses sorting options for tracks or Grafica.
• Charts can now be unlocked directly from the songlist screen during any stage. In this way, you can also play the unlocked chart in the same credit.
• Only data carried over to MÚSECA 1+1/2 from the original game are scores, CONNECT ALL marks, and the unlocked songs. Everything else was reset, including acquired Grafica.
  • Acquiring Grafica that were obtained in the original MÚSECA will give an experience bonus.
• The following options are available from October 6th, 2016 onward:
  • MIRROR / RANDOM
  • Note hit sound volume
  • Judgement Display Position
  • Timing Bars / Beat Line Display
  • Grafica voice
  • Screen Filter
  • Lane Curve
  • Mode Select Display
• CURATOR RANK is introduced on November 2nd, 2016. The rank increases depending on how many missions of specific difficulty you complete. Some songs require a certain CURATOR RANK in order to be unlocked.

This event began on October 6th, 2016 and ended on November 3rd, 2016. It allows one to unlock the NEW Generation 夏の流星フェスタ2016 songs to play in MÚSECA. To unlock these songs, simply play any round of beatmania IIDX 23 copula, beatmania IIDX 24 SINOBUZ, jubeat Qubell, or SOUND VOLTEX III GRAVITY WARS once. Afterwards, you'll unlock a song after every three rounds. Unlocking Triple Counter will also unlock a limited edition Grafica as well.
