DanceDanceRevolution ULTRAMIX/CHALLENGE MODE

Introduced for the first time to North American DanceDanceRevolution games in DanceDanceRevolution ULTRAMIX is CHALLENGE MODE. Much like its appearances in DanceDanceRevolution 4thMIX and EXTRA MIX, it consists of courses containing challenges in which players are required to play segments of a chart, sometimes with certain conditions or modifiers enabled, as a skill test.

However, unlike previous games, the courses only have six challenges each, reducing the total amount of challenges to 30. Only the PRACTICE course is available at first; the rest must be unlocked by clearing all of the preceding courses' respective challenges, which can be done in any order.
