  • HELPLESS marks vocalist Taeko Shibata's debut in BEMANI.
  • In PercussionFreaks 2ndMIX, the Korean release of drummania 2ndMIX, HELPLESS' background animations were slightly modified, changing the graphics of a dancing woman to silhouettes. These changes were also applied in the Japanese releases starting from GUITARFREAKS 4thMIX & drummania 3rdMIX.
    • According to Yoshihiko Koezuka and Mutsuhiko Izumi in the GuitarFreaks & DrumMania -SUPER BEST BOX- audio commentary, the original video had to be changed due to various circumstances, as it was "naughty" and "problematic".
  • HELPLESS is available in GuitarFreaks V2 & DrumMania V2 through GITADOCHANKO in April 2006.
    • As of June 1st, 2006, it has been automatically unlocked for play in Standard Mode.
  • HELPLESS (Long Version) was originally available as a prize in GuitarFreaks V6 & DrumMania V6 BLAZING!!!!'s BATTLE MODE event. The song became available for purchase for 800 BP at the BATTLE ITEM COUNTER on July 6th, 2009.

TAEKO's sexy and powerful vocals are awesome with Latin rhythms!! The roaring guitars and flashy horns make the song even more exciting!! This song was created with the hope that the audience will enjoy the fun of Latin music while playing percussion. The percussion instrument played in the game is the "timbales", which is often used in Latin music. I want you to hit the timbales solo in a flowing way.

I changed the piano solo into a gut guitar solo based on the bonus track long version of the soundtrack. It's even cooler and more stylish. I never get tired of TAEKO's growing vocals, no matter how many times I listen to them. After all, summer means Latin.

Musician's Room 2

It's based on the Long Ver. of the soundtrack CD. The soundtrack CD included a piano solo, but this time I used a gut guitar solo. The gut guitar solo is stylish, isn't it?
