Song Connections / Remixes
- A long version of Umbral, titled Umbral (Extended Mix), appears on the beatmania IIDX 24 SINOBUZ ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK album.
- "Umbra" is Latin for "shadow".
- This is also mentioned in the song comments for Umbral.
- Umbral had a generic video in the beatmania IIDX 24 SINOBUZ location test. It received a unique video in the final release.
Song Production Information
Hello. This is me again. Maozon here.
The title "Umbral" comes from the Latin word "Umbra" which means "shadow", (the title for Arcana from the previous game was also derived from Latin), is often translated as "real shadow", and is also related to many things, including astronomical events such as the lunar eclipse.
I studied the title when I was thinking of making the song.
It is named "Umbral" for the aforementioned, but it is unexpected that it also matches with the song.
Video Production Information
I made a video on the theme of "light and shadow".
When I noticed that the song title "Umbral" and Maozon's name both have six letters in them, I decided to adopt that during the final production.
