• VANESSA is the default EXTRA STAGE song in beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD and its CS counterpart.
• Throughout the entire video of VANESSA, a portrait of "Vanessa de Verdet" is displayed. Depending on the song performance, the portrait portrays certain facial expressions.
  • This video was removed from the beatmania IIDX arcade games in beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro due to technical issues. It was replaced with a generic video. However, its original video could still be found in the hard drive data, and its unique title card remained.
    • VANESSA's video was restored in beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL, though it no longer makes facial expressions while playing.
• VANESSA features a loud guitar sound, which has been used on every 朱雀 song so far.
• VANESSA is one of two songs (the other being KAMAITACHI) on beatmania IIDX 14 GOLD CS to feature a special chart only available in Dan mode, used as the third song of the Single Play Kaiden (皆伝) course.
  • This chart was revived as a Black ANOTHER chart on beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS + PREMIUM BEST.
• The portrait can be seen hanging above a small throne in the background animation for beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS' EXTRA STAGE system, EMPRESS PLACE.
• VANESSA was added to DanceDanceRevolution X2 on August 25th, 2010, as the third song in the "Boss Rush X2" course.
  • As of December 24th, 2010, VANESSA has been unlocked for normal play.
• In the arcade DanceDanceRevolution releases, VANESSA's beatmania IIDX video is used, but plays in the background of a black-recolored version of roppongi EVOLVED ver.D's background dance stage and is not full-screen.
  • Also, the portrait shows the same facial expression, regardless of the player's performance, due to system limitations.
  • In DanceDanceRevolution II/DanceDanceRevolution hottest party5, though, VANESSA's video removes any on-screen dancers and is played in a tiny monitor on the opposite side of the player on Single and in the center on Double/Versus, due to Nintendo Wii memory limitations.

He was so obsessed with the idea of noble life that he suffered sadly for it.
A portrait called Earl Vanessa portrays the grief that dwells with him.

In 1845, the painting, which had the bottom half burnt during the war, was restored.

Currently, the painting is kept at a particular museum.
There seems to be a strange event, where a burnt ash pile gathers under his portrait.

... or maybe not.
