• According to Takayuki Ishikawa himself, he wrote memories in remembrance of beatmania's ending, whose final installment, beatmania THE FINAL, came out a few months before beatmania IIDX 8th style did.
• memories marks the first beatmania IIDX song under Takayuki Ishikawa's TAKA alias that is not an arrangement of a preexisting song.
