When NAOKI asked me, "why not do a song with a revolutionary theme together?", I was in a rather complicated psychological state, being half happy and anxious about whether this could be achieved.
This was because the game was near the end of production and there was still a mountain of work to be completed, so I was in a state where I couldn't say I was creating another song.
As seen from the song title translated as "Revolution", the song was originally made as the last boss song in DDR, but I persuaded others to include it in IIDX as the centerpiece of both hidden songs, with "Kakumei" finished after unreasonable schedule changes.
For the production, I received NAOKI's piano performance and basic track, then I repeatedly created the orchestra arrangements and rhythm track, which became a smart process without wasting time.
The artist name became "dj TAKA with NAOKI", but with ucchie writing the charts and Jiishima in charge of the DDR charts, the directors of both DDR and IIDX, and both teams' crews, this song was realized with the last minute schedules of everyone and their teamwork.
DanceDanceRevolution
NAOKI
As someone who likes Chopin, I had hoped to try a situation like this sometime, so thanks to dj TAKA's cool talent and huge help, this arrangement of "Kakumei" was completed, making full use of present day technology.
Regarding "Kakumei" personally, it's a revolution in DDR, and it has become a meaningful song within the series.
