Hey everyone, good evemornighting! The blazing guitarist ... hmmmmmmm ... I'm sorry, I've been terribly rude. I've challenged several genres in the past, but a genre has come to light that's especially appropriate for IIDX that I haven't touched on. As a result of heated discussion with TAKA, we decided to try drawing out all the pop elements of every genre and making a song out of all of them. The name of this genre is "Pops".


Since this involved drawing out pop material with no regard for direction whatsoever, several strange things happened.
Everyone~, good morneveningello!! The blazing guitarist... cough cough... I'm very sorry.<br>
I've challenged various genres in the past, but I have discovered a genre that's especially appropriate for IIDX that I haven't touched on.<br>
As a result of serious and heated discussions with TAKA, we decided to extract pop elements from every genre and combine them into one song. That's why this genre is "Pops".


a. Backing high hat becomes a house feel, but the kick drum doing the back beat becomes totally inaudible.
Since this song involved extracting pop materials, regardless of what comes next, strange things occurred.


b. The rhythm is kind of like 2step, but I think the tones around the drums are totally different.

This is the ambiguous personality of "Somebody Like You". When you listen to the various parts that make up the song, surely you think of them all as pop. The melody itself is a bit odd, but I myself rather like it *g*

I figured the vocalist, Mickin', isn't just any regular singer for being able to pull off such an odd song. Even TAKA, who was present at the recording, had a look on his face that practically screamed, "Well, this is an unexpected finish!"
"Somebody Like You" was born with such vague concept.<br>
When you listen to each part that you can hear the song, surely you think of them all as pop.<br>
The melody itself feels somewhat mysterious, but I like it a little (laughs)

I thought Mickin', who sings such a strange song well without hesitation, wasn't just an ordinary person. Even TAKA, who was present at the recording, had an expression of, "This is an unexpected finish!"
