Profile
Motoaki Furukawa is a former KONAMI artist who began working at the company in November 1986. Since then, he performed in numerous Konami games, such as Twinbee, Parodius, Sunset Riders, and A-JAX. He first appeared in the GuitarFreaks & DrumMania series in 1999 for GUITARFREAKS 2ndMIX, and composed at least one song for each mix from GUITARFREAKS 4thMIX & drummania 3rdMIX until GuitarFreaks V4 & DrumMania V4. He re-appeared in GuitarFreaksXG & DrumManiaXG, his final BEMANI appearance to date.
After 16 years at the company, Motoaki left KONAMI in January 2003, but continued to contribute as a freelance musician in BEMANI until 2010. On September 28th, 2007, he started his own music label - M's Art. He also currently serves as the guitarist in the band VOYAGER.
Trivia
- Motoaki Furukawa is one of the very few BEMANI artists who has never used an alias. All his songs are either credited to his real name in Hiragana, a vocalist, or a shortening of his full name in English.
