Wow. Now that's a debut. (Also, you may want to use the PEVIEW button more ^^; ) --Miz 21:39, 3 Apr 2006 (EDT)
Thanks
Thanks for all of your help in putting up information on the wiki. CardinalDan 14:54, 30 November 2008 (CST)
Vocalists
I was under the impression vocalists weren't credited to their composers, but now I see and understand your reasoning for TAISHO since Ono did compose all of his pop'n music songs. As an FYI, Dan does plan to implement GF/DM eventually, which was where the problem lied - i.e. future issues like someone claiming Mutsuhiko Izumi for Miyuki Kunitake's GF/DM work (despite two songs done for Naoki in IIDX), or claiming Ono/Weckl for solo MAKI due to the vast majority of her pop'n music songs being with Anettai Maji-Ska Bakudan. Granted, I'm not overly picky with vocalists that have only had a few songs, but because of the above I wanted to keep that separation, and wanted to let you know where I was coming from. -- Ryujin 14:07, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Staff/Vocalist Organization
Looking at the other categories, "staff" has been used often in place of "artist," and frankly I never really gave it a second thought - I always saw it as someone who contributed to the game music. AFAIK the "staff" categories don't contain any of the movie creators or illustrators. If you want to create another category for just vocalists we can do that. I'll let Dan know about this too. -- Ryujin 14:14, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- Looks like Dan's in agreement with separating vocalists. Also just checked the page, and I stand corrected about the movie/illustrator comment - they are identified as staff. -- Ryujin 14:22, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
Ringo to Hachimitsu
Sorry, meant "first Anettai Maji-Ska song in GF/DM." Guess that's moot considering it's true for pop'n though. -- Ryujin 20:30, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. Also, Swimmers was the first Anettai Maji-Ska song with MAKI in Guitar Freaks / drummania. --M.B. 20:35, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
That's right. Forgot about that one. -- Ryujin 20:36, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
pop'n music 10 AC ratings
Hey there. I managed to get a screenshot of the pop'n music 10 AC Music List, which can be handy when filling some pop'n music songs' difficulties, considering that the page is currently down: http://www2.udec.cl/~aarmella/Axel/popn10ac.png -- FinalOffset 01:25, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Thank you very much. This will be very useful for the future. --M.B. 12:09, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
pop'n and GFdm current versions
Hey, I just noticed you have edit rights on the front page; would it be possible to update the pop'n and GFdm current version links to link to fantasia and XG3? Thanks. --Sakurina 16:40, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
- Never mind, I've been promoted to sysop. --Sakurina 17:24, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
Missing Notecount data
FYI, Smell Like This doesn't have notecount data on its page. Not sure why it was missing from your list earlier. --Thunderbird (talk) 01:20, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
Is this a real album?
- VGMDB says it was distributed by KONAMI (I do see the official logo on the album jacket), but have never heard anyone talk about this album before. Anyone ever listen to it? --M.B. (talk) 19:51, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, the first disc is all original songs from artists related with the old KONAMI label, while the second mix is a megamix of songs from both the beatmania and IIDX series. First disc feels a lot like beatmania SuperMIX, with mostly hiphop and R&B, and features a remix of Strong Woman feat.DABO; the second disc is, in my opinion, a pretty bad megamix as far as transitions go. It has some neat music selection though. --FinalOffset (talk) 02:55, 6 July 2017 (UTC)
Will not be locking pages anymore
I apologize for my current draconian behavior on the wiki, and would like to announce that I will no longer be locking pages on this wiki. I will leave that to any of the other admins to look over and analyze themselves. --M.B. (talk) 21:02, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
- It's fine man, I wanted to counter-respond at first like I usually do but decided to take on a more passive/global type of complaint in a single post and that's about it. It's the past now, ta da, gone. Like things are already going terrible ( more than anything extremely weird to be honest) inside Bemani, might as well keep things normal here. --UBerserker (talk) 22:39, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
Some clarification (hopefully)
Huh. I don't remember adding gibberish to pages. The last edit i remember making before the ban was adding garden's jacket. If there ever was gibberish/nonsense added to pages, it was probably caused by my cat. She's only a few months old, loves stepping and climbing on stuff - my keyboard is no exception. I don't think you'll believe this, but here goes the truth. --TikalFan9000 (talk) 16:15, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
- The "gibberish" in question was the generic song jackets you added to the IIDX pages. --M.B. (talk) 16:17, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oh, about that. Thought they were allowed in here, since some i noticed a few songs had them (Acid Pumper, for example). Sorry about that (note: are songs like Daily Lunch Special and quick master (reform version) exceptions?) --TikalFan9000 (talk) 16:28, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
- I'm going to have FinalOffset on that one. --M.B. (talk) 16:56, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
- Regarding jackets from CHECK!SONGS, I think it's fine to have those that have some work put into it (i.e. PENDUAL TALISMAN, ANCHOR) and are more than a simple screenshot. Daily Lunch and quick master are fine too. --FinalOffset (talk) 17:57, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

Import != release?
Why exactly is this an issue? I was not warned about it. If the machines were not allowed to be imported, Konami would impose sanctions/fines on Round1. As I noted on AC DDR X2 and AC DDR A, Canada technically imported these mixes from the United States. I can confirm that one of the two X2 (so presumably both) was imported, and A was from Dave & Buster's, an American company. --LABcrab (talk) 14:52, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
- It'd be like saying IIDX has been officially released in US. It isn't. --UBerserker (talk) 15:11, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
- What Berserker said. This is not the first time; we've done this in the past with several IIDX pages as well, as well as Dancerush Stardom. Saying DDR A20 is in the US because of Japanese imported machines is like saying that Super Mario RPG was released in Europe because the US version was in European import shops. --M.B. Licensing issues
- Although you said Classroom Edition were able to include those songs since CS songs work differently, wouldn't that mean MAKE A JAM and that other song featuring those very same vocal samples were able to be featured on ULTRAMIX 2 and GOLD CS respectively bc of those console licensing differences? (since those addtional info about those 2 songs were removed since you stated those songs appeared on those games, despite the reasoning behind your changes on the Classroom Edition info). EDIT: I know you said US licensing but CS applies as well, INFINITAS for example, and the 4th MIX CS songlist. I also think MAKE A JAM! which appears in Pocket Edition, was included in the japanese release of the aforementioned game prior to it revival in REFLEC BEAT, and Kind Lady was still in arcade releases when CLassroom Edition came out (2013 was CE's release date and Kind Lady got cut in late 2014 or 15) - SR 2019
- Gonna need to cover this in points:
- Aside from a vague tweet made by U1-ASAMI, there's nothing that's been said about MAKE A JAM being involved in any kind of licensing issue. The voices are samples, unlike Matsuri JAPAN and Kind Lady, which involve actual people's voices (hence their now removal from the series). The lack of revival probably came from no one playing it, or Konami not caring for the song. We don't know 100% for sure.
- Any song involving a commission vocalist in BEMANI can be removed at any time due to licensing. Some of the artists have a restricted amount of time their songs can be in a BEMANI title, and overall it's much cheaper for Konami to either replace the vocalist altogether, or eliminate the vocal song completely. This is why in 2008 and 2009 a LOT of vocal songs got removed from BEMANI arcade games all across the board (and why BeForU was among them - they moved to a separate record label).
- Licensing issues ARE different between Japan and North America. The US DDR games, for one, never had a deal with Toshiba-Emi, so anytime Konami licensed a Dancemania song, they would have to pay for it by the song. This is why you don't see a lot of Dancemania songs in the US DDR games, and why the European Dancing Stage titles avoided them near completely outside of the Euromix arcade games. It's too much of a hassle. (Mobile games are typically a worldwide thing, hence why MAKE A JAM and such appear even in the Japanese release of Classroom Edition.) --M.B. About specifying when charts/difficulties are not available in-game...
(since you edited a page with "You don't need to specify songs or charts in game data as not being playable every time." ...)
I've added info about unaccessible charts before and I've had it corrected by other people with the addition of the "not being playable" part so I always add it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Missing INFINITAS list
FYI, 真 地獄超特急 -HELL or HELL- is not in pack 11, but Jaeger Final Attack is. --Thunderbird (talk) 20:00, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
On jubeat plus notecounts
Hey I didn't mean to do this, all I want to do is to make the contents getting better and I'm sorry for making you guys think of that way. The jubeat lab. was the only way I can thought of to obtain the notecounts as a normal player, that's the only reason why I assumed that, I really didn't mean anything. I'll edit the Discussion page and thanks to you guys for making the jubeat plus pages better.--DJwolf (talk) 04:10, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
On Wowie Zowie
I see you have reverted the name connection blurb on Wowie Zowie, and have placed an admin lock on the page. Could you tell the reasons why you locked the page without explanation? Thanks. Galgal (talk) 09:32, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- edit nvm saw your comment on the talk page for wowie zowie Galgal (talk) 09:47, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- I also see that you have locked the page after proclaiming that you would "no longer be locking pages on this wiki". Galgal (talk) 10:09, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- You were actively breaking the rules, hence the page lock.
